Field Engineering
At TCI we provide direct support to operational units, Fleet, and TYCOM as directed by our SPAWAR and NUWC in matters of technical and logistics services and maintenance, training associated with the installation, operation, alteration, maintenance and readiness of shipboard C4ISR equipment and systems. Our engineering staff provides the Navy with technical assistance, equipment assessment, onboard operator and maintenance training and direct fleet support for maintenance, modernization and repair of a wide variety of shipboard C4ISR components and systems.

Our field engineering staff provides engineering and technical services to assist SPAWAR and NUWC in systems engineering, technical support and implementation of tactical and strategic satellite terminals, associated baseband equipment, data dissemination, and other related components. This includes efforts to support the analysis, development, implementation and testing of C4ISR terminals, baseband, data dissemination and associated equipment and also includes review and analysis of engineering data submitted to the government by equipment contractors. TCI's effort also includes professional development training for Fleet personnel to support both initial and refresher OJT. TCI provides the following C4ISR field engineering services:

• Current C4ISR and future TC systems engineering.
• Afloat/ashore OJT and pre-deployment exercise training support.
• Afloat/ashore equipment investigation and resolution.
• Afloat/ashore repair assistance and testing.
• Afloat/ashore surveys and inspections.
• Afloat/ashore installation support.
• Afloat/ashore field change upgrade.
